Suzanne's Garden Roses was the subject of a pretty email I received this June with pictures from Hollyhock's fresh summer collection.  Oh garden roses!  I took these pictures in The International Rose Test Garden in Portland, and painted roses after Alexander Marshal.  The center picture shows the roses painted in gouache, copied, cut and layered with the copies beneath the gouache. This is one of a pair of rose paintings now in the collection at Hollyhock.
